

PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Ratnagiri organized an engaging Terracotta Pottery Making Workshop focused on developing hands-on vocational skills and creative expression among students. The workshop provided learners with an opportunity to explore traditional art forms through practical experience.

Under expert guidance, students learned the techniques of molding, shaping, and designing clay into artistic pots and decorative items. The tactile nature of the activity helped students enhance their fine motor skills, patience, and creativity while gaining a deeper appreciation for craftsmanship.

The session also fostered cultural awareness and environmental consciousness by highlighting the use of natural materials and the traditional “Vocal for Local” approach to art and skill development. Students enthusiastically participated, connecting with India’s rich heritage of pottery and handmade crafts.
